The journey of my graduation collection ‚The nonchalance of a young couple’ started with a few old photographs I had discovered last summer in an old picture album of my great grandparents. It showed beautiful pictures from when they were young and so deeply in love with each other as I had always known them.
The naivety and playfulness of young love, once you grow older often being lost in people’s daily despite, inspired me to start this graduation collection and defined its design ingredients and romantic notion. Especially the boyish cheekiness of my grandfather and his endless fidelity and love for my grandmother struck me. Therefore, the idea of young boys full of hopes and dreams, right in the transition of their adolescences life became the equivalent for my collection.Playing with nostalgic inspirations and modern translations, the collection captures the beauty and carefreeness yet also the fragility and rawness of those relationships and young boys coming off age.
